The Advertiser coming after Texs young lad is absolutely disgusting. Pigs.

Disgraceful, how good was the footage seeing Nick Daicos waving to him around the same time.

I thought the same thing but thankfully it's just a shithouse clickbait headline. The actual article was quite cute.

Yeah that's even worse than the fans booing.

It is 100% on the players last night. They shat the bed on the big stage.

You saying the coach can't control that after it happens a couple of times?

You saying Nicks didn’t address it with the players? They didn’t execute, all season they’ve given the simple handball or tried to chain out of congestion, last night, all over the ground, they rushed and tried to kick out of congestion - invariably turning it over.

Nicks doesnt control that

Thats the art of coaching isn't it, to be able to adapt to what is thrown at you mid game, I would have thought all coaches at this level can achieve this.

One way would be to ask players for some more composure with the footy in traffic, if they get caught holding the ball then they will cop that, that is preferable to giving the ball back to Collingwood with a +1 advantage. This message can be delivered in the breaks, by the runner or on the bench when they have their rotation.

You’re assuming he didn’t ask for that - I’m assuming he did, and the players couldn’t execute it.

Neither of us know.

If your mids are Berry, Laird and Keays I'm not sure they could execute that even if you asked.
Wasn’t just the mids though and the Crows still had enough chances to win it in the last. They panicked a bit going forward and botched 3 or 4 decent chances with just dumb football.
The Thilthorpe handball was just bizarre when he has such a good opposite peg and had open goals in front of him. ANB was just dumb, everyone knows he can’t kick over a jam tin so he marks at 55 out and then takes an eternity before finally kicking a nothing kick. Smith then just bombs from outside 50 with free men everywhere and it landed about 20m short and Moore took a chest mark.
I still think they will comfortably win next week though

I tend to agree. Think we can get after GWS but if its the Hawks, they will bring a near identical gameplan that Pies did.

I know it's been discussed a bit, but Geelong's last 6 games were all against non-finals teams, and 8 of their last 10 including 2 each against Richmond and Essendon.

Conversely, the Lions have played 5 finalists in their last 7 games, and the other 2 teams were Sydney and the Dogs.

It will be a fascinating 1st quarter.
