Well today’s game went according to (my predicted) script.
The Roos were fantastic yesterday, bringing the same relentless energy as they did in week one. Listen to your heart!

Roos looked like they are ready to make up for failure last year. Eagles were pushed early by the mudlarks. Umpiring was horrific with 14 free kicks in a row to McLaren. Pongy on the hunt for a new coach??

JB - John Butcher ?

Tom Whittlesea is the whisper. Playing coach at Bordertown last few years.

Yes heard Tom Whittlesea today to Compass.
Apart from Kennedy leaving Myponga, why did they drop off so much. Must be other changes.
I reckon McLaren beat Willunga by 35 this week.

Pongy lost about 5 players from last years premiership side. Then they lost their ruckman half way through the season and Butcher missed majority season injured. They also had no points to play with to replace the loses and had to rely on their juniors. Most were expecting them to finish 4/5 in preseason. There was no real drop off as they finished as expected.

Willunga doing an Adelaide Crows and out in straight sets. Very impressive by McLaren.

Minor Premierships doesn't guarantee you anything
Big effort by McLaren to rebound from the Qualifying Final loss to Victor to face them again in the GF
Hard to go past Victor on their home turf but anything can happen

A Grade
Victor Harbor v McLaren Districts

B Grade
McLaren Districts (Undefeated) v Myponga - Sellicks

Senior Colts
Myponga - Sellicks (Undefeated) v Willunga

Junior Colts
Myponga - Sellicks v McLaren Districts

Tipping the 1st named teams to win

Same except Pongy in the B Grade. Unbiased pick. ;)

Just a question. Are there any Pongy players from last weeks A Grade available to play B Grade GF?

Yesterday’s B grade team would have contained any of those blokes. Scotty Hunt is one example.

Think there were 3

Deacon
Hunt
Hutchings

Not sure what the story was with James Hutchinson.
Played all 18 minor round in the As….then all 3 finals in the Bs.
I did hear someone had a falling out with the coach….

Macrow didn’t play Saturday. Not sure why or if he’ll be back

Yes it is. Shows the depth they have. Still missing some in the As and yet the Bs are undefeated.
