By letter of the rulebook the last freekick is there, you cant hit a ball from a ball up over the line on the full as its paid deliberate. But what a shitty way to end the tight contested GF

But I feel a lot more freekicks were missed especially in the valleys F50 and D50 towards them.

I'll draw your attention to the CSLFUP interpretation of laws for SFL & GSFL

DELIBERATE RUSHED BEHIND
A deliberate rushed behind will only be paid if the defending Ruckman hits the ball over the goal line on the full. A behind is NOT recorded and a free kick taken from where the ball crossed the line (On an angle between the points and straight in front in the goal square).
NO other rushed behind will be penalised in our leagues.

Another case of players (and the abysmal commentary team) not knowing the rules. Its been in there since 2017....

Surely Johns leaves. Does all the hard work, multiple SFL & Southern Zone rep, then gets dumped for the prelim and the GF. So much for being a loyal Cocklediver...

What if it isn't the designated ruckman that hits it over? With the wind on the day the ball up drifted to another pair and the HV player hit it over?

Watching it live I thought it was a 3rd man up infringement.

As for the commentary team, holy hell, not knowing there was time on in the A grade was the funniest part and it only got worse from there
