The stats you posted have one glaring difference, Dangerfield lays twice the amount of tackles per game ( therefore you can safely assume twice as many +/- laid on him ) showing how much the pressure in the contest has increased in the last 20 years.
2004 AFL GF Port and Brisbane laid 36 and 44.
2024 AFL GF Brisbane and Sydney laid 64 and 45.
