Hope they get to coach against each other later in the season when Hags suspension has expired. Would be worth the admission price alone ;)

Hags wont be at games anymore. He is week day coach and sticking to what he excels in. Can spend time with his young family on weekends. Kelvin Smith joint coach and will be coach on match days. Win/win for everyone and good decision by the club, dont lose one of the best coaches going around which was distinct possibility after last years dramas.

Agree with comment though, would have been highly entertaining watching two fiery fast bowlers going at each other off the field :D

Still coaching WT during the week, no change there. Not sure if still doing his pommie academy as well, be a busy boy.

Not sure if he be able to go to College games, you would think the suspension of 9 games would be for any type of cricket, although College system always done their own thing with their comp

Thanks.. got a kid who is born August, so too old for U14s - can't get a permit for him, but his mum has told me he's playing U14s for Northern so was confused - why would a kid be allowed to play Grade cricket if he was too old, but not community cricket?

Find it hard to believe that if he is too old for PDCA under 14 juniors, he could play Premier cricket under 14's under permit as both are run and controlled by SACA.

Morgan Pires 3.5 overs, 6 wickets for 5 runs in Adelaide Women's T20 win over Sturt today. Record T20 figures in A Grade I wonder?

She was recruited from WA this season

northern districts transformation into a community club appears now complete.
terrible coaches, poor leadership and poor culture. no 1st grade women's team.
how much longer should/can saca funds keep going to this club?

Not looking good for them already.
Well beaten by a very understrength Sturt and the perennially terrible Prospect on the weekend.

Why do you say that?
Where has Cameron Williams gone or is he still there? I saw on FB that Gareth Cox is now coaching

Yep, would there be a A1 Turf club they could beat?
Maybe its time to put all metro cricket under one umbrella with promotion/relegation. Div 2 of grade cricket means nothing

They would beat all of the A1 teams, bar maybe Goodwood who would beat the majority of Div 2 teams and on their day could beat one of the lower Div 1 teams.

A1 turf cricket is a good standard and each year gets better but there is a clear difference between those levels of cricket.

I normally agree with you on most things PPP, however on this one you are dead wrong.

The team that played on the weekend, which is the only sample we currently have, would not beat most A1 teams at all. Many players that played for ND on the weekend would not make some A1 sides.

Generally, yes, a 1st grade team should be able to play at a better level. NDs are not a proper 1st grade team or premier league club at the moment.

I can't see Gareth Cocks changing anything, in fact he appears to be part of the problem for many years. Came to that club as a big recruit after averaging 13 in a full season in 2nd grade with Adelaide Uni, with a highest score of 33. Then bats in the softest spots for the next 6-7 seasons without any success.

Mitch thomas was a big loss to them and really showed his class when coming to A1 by winning the POTY
Box never lit A1 up
Cooper didnt take a bucket of wickets.
Cox Played A2 and i dont think did a heap (this might be wrong but from what i remember)

i think they would beat alot of sides but backing up what was said above, Goodwood would demolish them i think. most sides would run with them though

they lost some big names from last season. it was always going to hurt them

Cox played A2s and A1s for Walkies after they got promoted including averaging over 70 in A1s at #3 one season. Looked it up in as much time as it took to read your post
