I wonder how the new ruck rule at centre bounces will affect Harry seeing his strength is sticking his arm out at his opponent. We may have to play a tall at centre bounces and Harry at ruck contests around the ground.

Position: Inside Midfielder

After a decorated career with Sturt, James Battersby makes the move to Prospect Oval to continue his SANFL career. An outstanding leader, James captained Sturt for 6 seasons and will add strength around the contest with his ball winning ability and clean use of the ball. We are looking forward to James joining close mates Alex Spina and Mitch Harvey and assisting our group with his leadership, experience, and knowledge.

His achievements include:

2 x Premiership Player (2016 & 2017)

2 x Best and Fairest (2020 & 2023)

3rd place in the Magarey Medal (2017, 2020 and 2023)

7 x SANFL Advertiser team of the year (Captain in 2024)
