Bird picks up Hunt early.
That’s about the third or fourth time this season that Hunt has been out in the 30’s. Seems to do the hard work and not cash in

Sometimes ones strength can also be what gets them out the most.

With that said, like other im not sure he hit it.

Head's out of form in menaningless matches, I have no concerns, he will be cherry ripe for the main event.

Yeah dont disagree.

Head will start in the first test and all it will take is one to two early in his innings to find the middle and away he goes back in form.

Watching the NSW vs Victoria innings closely. Good battle between Konstas and Boland.

Konstas looking pretty strong in defense (playing very orthodox) but is missing the scoring opportunities that are presenting, in particular three balls in the last over he would have hoped to score from but ended up with no runs. Just can't get off strike at the moment which you feel will be his downfall here.

Bloody cracker of a ball albeit a common theme of dismissal for Konstas. His no lone ranger though, Boland has got a few with deliveries like that.

Calling it now that he wont see the ashes series out in the test team

Very unlucky he will be right got a 2nd innings yet.

Terrible shot, his trademark get out shot, granted he didn't hit it

Bowlers have worked him out, needs to go back working the ball around instead of trying to hit the ball to or over the boundary everyball

Bowlers have worked him out? Yeah because Webster meant to bowl the ball short outside off stump to a player who's strength has always been the cut shot lol. The shot was there, just got his execution wrong obviously.

Not saying bowlers have worked him out but 9 off 21 balls Webster may have deliberately thrown one out there knowing Head hates scoring slowly and was going to throw the kitchen sink at it the second he saw width. The fact Head is out of form would give you hope he might get a tickle on one.

That would make more sense mate, I think you're right in saying perhaps Webster was deliberately trying to bowl that delivery wide of the off stump trying suck Head in and even though he may of got his execution wrong bowling it too short the delivery still got the result he was after given Head is not at his best.

NSW 128 in reply to Victoria's 382.
Smith 57
Elliott 5/26
Murphy 2/17
Boland 2/27

Vic second innings 1/36, lead by 290.

If Dixon felt he was a little unlucky with being LBW in the 1st Dig to Starc he's entitled to be outraged in the 2nd suffering the same fate to a ball easily missing Leg
Umpire sucked in after turning down an appeal shortly before that was missing by a foot, this one was probably only 6 inches.
