The perfect scenario for mine is, take the last wicket, then rain heavily for the rest of the day.

Game plan for England
Introduce BAZBAT
Get 100- runs before the new ball
To about 6/307
Play shots, dont be too accountable or too safe
Then negotiate the new ball

Easier said than done

Never understood starting the day with a pacer bowler. Sure, you want Lyon on at that end - I would've had one over of pace though.

Cummins moving slower than my dead grandma out there.
I know he wants to be on the field when we wrap it up but he’s struggling

Both these blokes are fishing outside off stump but yeh let’s just bowl half trackers on a slow pitch with short square boundaries

Yep, I don't understand this, especially when it's bowling to their strengths. Yes Smith is a perennial hooker and puller, but still, why bowl to something he likes to score from? Bowl to their weakness perhaps?

The EG game plan has had short term success
The other matter of concern is the choice of bowlers today
Cam Green is an ok 5th bowler, part time in this team
But you gotta bowl your best bowlers and finish the game

I would have bowled GOAT , with Pat, Mitch or Scott

BOOKMARK
This Smith is the real deal, he will be a great long term keeper for the Poms

Keeper or batsman?

Smith
Batting Keeper
Very impressive technique
Keeping , jury still out , i think he will improve his keeping

Dont forget I said this about Alexander Carey a few years ago
Remember the days when people would say, 'why does he play stupid off side shots in the air[ not me though]
I thought Alex would become a very good batting keeper
I had not thought Alex would be keeping this well though
