Anyway.. best wishes to my fellow Blues fan.

although Smithy has come across as a bit harsh this site has been going long enough for everyone to know where a topic should go SP.

at the risk of ridicule to yourself and the superior club you support please take care when posting a new thread.

Cheers and all the best for the festive season

It's been happening TOO often over TOO long a time..
SturtPeter has been warned MANY times about this...

His xmas cheers may be genuine but putting that in the SANFL forum is ridiculous as has some of his other posts recently been put in the wrong part of this site.
A fair few on this site would regard it as another attempt to have "Go you Blues" or whatever on the end of his post to incite more reaction from other forum users as MOST are fed up with it.

As an atheist I won't be celebrating it...no tree...no decorations...no pressies etc...no special meal. I do send out some cards to friends and relatives who insist on continuing to send them to me and would be hurt if I didn't but otherwise it's just another day...guess that cards bit does make me a bit of a hypocrite though.

As far as I'm concerned it's everyone to their own. So for those that do celebrate it I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

JAS

P.S. Also agree with the comments about these posts...they can get a bit tiresome...thankfully I'm sure nobody would tar all Sturt supporters with the same brush.

I thought that was Easter?

Isn't Christmas about how heartless the good folk of Jerusalem were, not finding anything but a stable for a heavily pregnant woman to give birth in?

Or did the church apply that date to their story when they took over another religion?

Not for one second Smithy.

I just find it ironic that some people (not you) bag Christians (which i am not, btw) for not wanting footy on Good Friday, but treat Christmas Day as an important day.

Can't have it both ways?

I reckon those people still don't observe any of the religious aspects of the day though Rushby. It gets treated more like a family day for most - all the fun stuff without the trip to Church.

They just get confused and say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Festivus".
