Hey! It's his truth.

Catherine Andrews was driving. Neither of them avoided the breath test (Police stuffed up by forgetting to do one), and I've no idea why Dan would take one anyway when he wasn't the driver. He called an ambulance, and did not leave the scene until the cyclist had been taken off to hospital and the police had attended. I'm not sure what further help the Andrews family should provide, in the absence of any evidence of their being at fault.

Claiming the cyclist should be charged is a bit weird. (Again Catherine, not Dan.)

It's important to scrutinize the cooker conspiracy theories pretty heavily, regarding this accident.

Has all that been proven in Court?
If not, then they are alternative facts only

You OK Jimmy? We’re discussing Dan Andrews here. :-s

I'm surprised Andrews can even remember the accident

That's brilliant Dedja. Hip replacements are a walk in the park (intentional pun!)

Yep, seems so. Walking stick is long gone, nearly walking normally now, back to driving, and back to work soon.

That's awesome! I think hearing stories like that reinforce why people take the brave step to get replacements like this, done. It's a tough decision to make but definitely worth it in your wife's case.

Amazing effort
The Australian moguls team is something else. To have 3 men make the 8 man final is just absolutely staggering.

Knee replacement locked in 10th April, gives me a touch over 3 months to get ready for Europe and allows me to still do a trip to Melb for the footy and Easter at Clare beforehand. Will be in hospital for Gather Round and US Masters, will at least have something to watch on TV.

Doc says my knee is a mess, xrays weren't pretty, bone on bone and riddled with arthritis/fragments. Should be able to remove some screws that were put there from my reco in 1990. Glad I now have a date and a way forward.

Best of luck Dutchy. Just out of interest, I was told not to fly anywhere for three months for fear of Deep Vein Thrombosis. Has your doc spoken to you about your trip and any potential issues?

I'm 12 weeks Monday. I didn't go to LIV today because I couldn't stand up for enough length of time. Whilst my knee is good, and much better than what it was before the op, I don't think I could stand all day on it. I think I could walk around for long-er periods of time than before, but I know either that night or the next day I'd be sore.

In saying that, I know many people who were a million times better than I was at 12 weeks and a few that said they were still in real trouble.

Do the rehab!!!!! Focus on getting yourself ready for the trip and you should be fine.

We were quite clear with the Doc (who just did my mates hip) that we had the trip coming up in July and I was semi prepared that I might have to wait until after the trip to get this done but he was very confident that I would be fine by July. The main issue he said I will have is because my knee only bends 85 degrees currently my muscles will need to be re-stretched and tuned back into have more extension. First 2 weeks will be hell but after that I should see improvement. He thinks I might only need 3 weeks off work.

Thanks for the DVT tip, I will ask this, it will be a touch over 3 months when we leave.
