Anywho, she messages me quite often on a Friday or Saturday night and it doesn't stop until I flat out ignore her and claim that I fell asleep.
She thinks that we're a match made in heaven and the times that I have caught up with her she's been really clingy and talks as though we are practically married, so I keep my distance.
She propositioned me again on the weekend and I was left to be as frank as possible and said "Hey look, I can't do the blended family thing, I can't be a step parent, it just doesn't work" (she has 3 girls aged between 15 & 21 living with her).
She thanks me for my honesty and says she understands but then rings me 15 minutes later telling me how wonderful her girls are and how it can work, ten minutes into the convo she's telling me about the catfights that go on at their house, she then goes on to lecture me about the way I intermittent fast and how unhealthy it is for me, when she finally stops for a breath I tell her I'm tired and going to sleep.
Wake up in the morning and there's 10 messages waiting for me with the last one telling her to let me know when I wake so we can organise a lunch date, I whizzed straight around to the shops at 9:01 to buy a brisket and invited my kids over for lunch before I let her know of my pre-planned Sunday lunch.
Absolutely coo coo, nice to talk to, very friendly but is far too loud for me and laughs at absolutely everything, the clinger factor was the first straw that broke the back. There were more adventures that have followed up on Sunday with an ex ringing me all upset and spilling her heart out, they just don't get how single life is just so much easier, the comanionship is nice, just not the bullshit that comes along with it.
