It's one day rules isn't it - 50 overs? Just 20 points on the line, except in the ET vs TTG game.

Unless the rules have changed this season.

Beause one game got underway it remains a 2 day game (in Division 1).
So 105 overs will be bowled at all games next week. No compulsory declarations. Just 105 overs to be bowled. Points still the same 20 with a result. Draw is still an option.

As far as I'm aware, Division 2 is considered a different competition.
so looking at their scores, no one got underway and it will be a 50 over game next Saturday

Spot on IT, Div 1 games played as two day rules with 105 overs for the day.

Most times when this happens the teams agree to bat say 55 overs and give the chasing team the remaining overs. No way Woodville are doing this with WT, too much angst between them. WT will need to bowl first, hopefully get them out within 60-70 overs and JFM goes berserk in the chase. Five points each for a draw the likely result. Woodville relegated already so will want to take WT down with them.

With TTG 7/103 there will be a result in that match, don’t know if the winner will risk giving the loser chance for 10 points.

Adelaide may fancy getting Kensy out cheaply the way their batting has been going since Xmas.

Lots of discussion at Port and Sturt game how to get extra points, talk of first team declaring 0/1 and then other team does the same at 0/1 so get 10 points each for a draw, then play second innings for bonus 10 points. Better than both getting five points. The way the season has been corrupted already with ridiculous declarations I wouldn’t put this past them.

Division 2 all one day games next week.

I didn’t realise those were the rules. Huge advantage for East Torrens then! I take back my last 2 posts!

Sounds like west Torrens posters are getting nervous never realised they’d never declared
to set up a game in their history. Woodville will be determined not to let them win. Will go down to last round needing to beat Adelaide to stay up
Imagine they go down and southern or northern come up!

If WT go down then SACA will have the best 8 teams playing against each other next season  , which was the reason they put in the two division model :-?
Not seen a club championship table but could you go off the top 8 from that, i.e best clubs rather than best team. Not sure if that would work though.

Is Hags back coaching full time at WT?

Everyone knows the rules. Not sure why some people think some clubs deserve special treatment

It’s cause some are entitled and see themselves above the rules and others
These clubs make excuses and blame others with no self review

From Facebook:

The Prospect District Cricket Club wishes to announce that Steve Broberg has finished up after 5 years as Club Coach. Steve has done a fantastic job of developing our junior players in line with the strategy and we thank him sincerely for all his hard work and efforts, and wish him and the family all the best for the future.

We are pleased to announce that former player Peter Richardson will step in as interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Richo brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to our club, and we are confident he will provide the strong leadership our group needs during this period.

A formal search for a new permanent coach will commence immediately, and we will provide further updates in due course.

We ask that everyone within our cricket community get behind Richo, the existing coaches and the playing group as we focus on finishing the season positively.
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!
