Mini update;

On the weekend, I purchased a Manual 2005 MX5.

Something I never thought I'd be able to do prior to the surgery.

Very happy.

Drag race up Gorge Rd this Sunday, be there. :lol:

Interesting, I was thinking about ditching my manual Ford Focus once I get my knee done

Well ..... you can, but for me, engaging the clutch isn't the biggest issue. Getting in and out is the issue (the MX5 is very low) but even then it's being overcome, day by day as my strength returns.

Hey... woah! This thing isn't fast! Actually it is depending on what you're driving.

But if I start a minute early, there's every chance I might beat you :-)

Mines quite low to the ground, too. At least that's the excuse I give for all the grunts I emit when I get in or out...

My left knee is the one I'll replace so I'll wait and see.

Ditto mate. There was no way I could use the clutch before the op. Now, it's fine. Loved driving it over the weekend and no issues using the clutch, all the way back from Noarlunga to my place in Modbury.

Any chance of them requesting an urgent meeting with you to try and retain you?

I always hope that people scurry around in the background when I resign, working out how they can retain me but in reality I'm sure they're just glad to see I'm removing myself and thereby saving them the hassle.

I have roughly 120 sickies owed to me. Safe to say the impending retirement will cause me a large amount of stress roughly 6 months out.
