Flaggy today
32pts
Poor putting.

Now the club are trialling the 1st hole as a 340m par 4 cos a new resident who moved in 220m from the original tee complained about balls hitting the house  imagine if the dingbat lived near the airport....

Cant be serious, change the course because of one resident?

Twilight tonight, back 9, started well 6 points from first 3 holes, was 90m from the 13th green in 2, sitting perfectly....walk off with an 8, that was the end of the rounds...13 pts.. incredibly 19pts won the night from 50 entrants, in prefect conditions.

The Sevens comp is finishing up this year at the Vines, disappointing for some of my mates who enjoy the casual competition every week, without having to become a member.

Yep, a trial period. Dont know for how long. But given its membership renewal time, will be considering options. A mate looking at Vines so playing there next thursday.

We are looking at our options also, Blackwood is looking appealing. If you see any deals let me know.

Vines is in brilliant nick at the moment and probably the best it has ever been.

Options

Blackwood, in superb nick, but come winter will get boggy, where Vines wont.

Contemplating Willunga. $1500 - 7 days. So basically half price. Time wise just a fraction further than Flaggy, given the Expressway.

As for deals I havent seen any around at the moment.

Probably time to pull the trigger and join somewhere fully, not missing footy at all so more golf is on the horizon, esp once knee is fixed. Have always thought Blackwood would be the best club to join, 15 min from my place and actually less hilly than Vines/Flaggy/Thaxted.

The brother is over from NSW as he scored a job as an official at the Australian women’s open at Kooyonga this week.
He went down the Driving range at West Beach today to hit a few and then had a round at Mt Osmond which my pop was a member of for many years. He’s going to try and get on somewhere tomorrow but shelled out $440 for a round at Royal Adelaide this week.
He’s become a golf addict though and sometimes plays 7 or 8 rounds per week. He always has his clubs in his work vehicle just in case he is working near a Golf course and he can have a hit.
Last time he was over here he got here Thursday night then played 2 rounds of Sandy Creek Friday, a round at North Adelaide Saturday and then was driving back to Canberra Monday morning but decided to get up early and did a slight detour for the dawn tee off at Mt Compass on the way home
