I’m sure he knows the two magic words. If he’s forgotten them he can call Tyson Stengle.

I think the season will be pretty boring in parts. There is a huge gulf between the good teams and the also rans, meaning lop sided games all season.

Unfortunately games like we've seen Thursday and Friday nights will be the norm, with maybe one or two exceptions through the season. Tough to watch.

Yeah, there are at least 5 teams that will be fairly uncompetitive this year and the new rules will see some bigger scores kicked. Can definitely see a few 100 point margins coming up

Not a good time to be bottomed out. Player movement has been encouraged by the AFL but its been poorly governed.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Wait until Tassie get 75 picks on the draft!

I remember mentioning this (I think on this forum) that free agency was never going to work. And it's now 'stark' as to how bad it's become. For teams like Brisbane to be able to top up after winning a premiership is ridiculous.

Brisbane win the flag, lose hardly anyone and still get multiple FA’s and top 10 picks from their academy.
I’m sure the bidding system will be overhauled when it’s time for our academy kids to come through

Yeh! And they're trying to stop us getting Cody Walker! Did you see Dillon's smug smirk on Front Bar during the week when the Suns won?

I think the AFL aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they are at war with the NRL and it seems like they are hell bent on ensuring the 2 Queensland clubs have every available leg up possible even to the detriment of other states.
The AFL won’t be happy until it’s a Brisbane v Suns GF

I'll be honest, the NRL is a far better product these days, in both the men's and women's games.

For everything good they AFL do (new ruck rules), they absolutely torch the game with stupid ones (their last touch bastardisation and the stand rule).

Both good products if ran properly.
Tasmania won’t get half the assistance that the Queensland clubs do but I’d bet if the NRL announced a Hobart side that would change quickly

We were "advised" by the club to secure seats (at an extra cost) for the Friday night game Vs Essendon. For Hawthorn members, it was a replacement game, for which our membership allows us access, albeit in the "cheap seats".

As it turned out, there were plenty of spare seats, so the extra cost was not warranted.
