Is @Spargo ever going to have a better Easter weekend?

Glenelg and NM on Friday, and now Soton have knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

His beer fridge will be trembling today.

Junk removal.

Is there a better alternative to 1-800-got-junk ? Anyone got recommendations? etc?

Just stick it on the footpath, it'll be gone by morning

Most councils have a free service you can use once a year which normally equates to a 6x4 trailer load size. Just organise a date and leave your stuff on the footpath on the day and they’ll remove.

Yeah. The (main) junk we have to remove is a pair of clapped out sofas. Far too large for a council pickup, not in good enough nick to donate to the salvos, and too bulky/heavy to leave on the verge for opportunists.

They’ll still take them, well my council has. They don’t tend to be too strict on the size or amount and usually have 2 blokes to move it all.

Whats the chances of a conviction for Ben Roberts-Smith?

I would have thought less than 10% and costs the tax payers millions

Only winners will be the lawyers and the media

Who knows, but charges are rarely laid if the prospect of conviction is less than 10%

Is this where he kicked the guy off the cliff and the guys old man has confirmed the guy was working with the Taliban?

I'm no expert on war crimes, but just because you didn't have a gun in your hand at the time doesn't mean you're not part of the opposition, in my opinion.

I get we need rules of war, and we can't have soldiers killing kids for fun, but at the same time I don't see why we need to be spending hundreds of millions of dollars against our own guys who we sent over there, asked them to put their bodies on the line, and they did it for us without asking questions.

I can only assume there is more to the story that we don't know.

I think Pauline Hanson mentioned that there has been $300 mill spent on this investigation over the course of 10 years and yes, the chance of convicting him would be slight.

Complete WOFTAM IMO.
