Avatar Clean up

I loved the avatars on offer from some of you blokes...

In saying that I understand why it has been done given the women and children that get on this site + the sponsors - it could possibly send a bad message to people who want to sponsor the site...

But still - personally I say BOO!!!

They were fun, but I think it was necessary, as the guys were gradually upping the ante on each other.

Yes we did.

Wasn't an issue with what they showed, was only an issue with a lot of people that open this website discreetly at their work and big bazoingas stood out to passing bosses.
If it went as far as Blacky's avatar only it probably wouldn't have been an issue but as Psyber pointed out people started trying to outdo each other and they would have kept going till they pushed the line too far perhaps.
I can promise you there was a hell of a lot of discussion before we PMd people too as we were definately in two minds.
It was an agreed decision from all the moderators/admin and we must point out that we didn't "force" anyone to change their avatar (despite what Blacky says), we just made polite requests which we were glad to have everyone agree to.

PS Blame Labor as my job's now gone thanks to Krudd, due to this I couldn't afford the extra cash to pay for Blacky's bandwidth!

FWIW, I totally agree with the SAFooty policy on this and strongly supported it as a mod.

Fair enough and like I said I personally don't miss them, although I think most forum members would have had the sense not to go too far and surely leaving something to the imagination is much sexier imho...guess I can stop looking for male equivalent now

The only problem I would have with them returning is that I suspect most went way over the avatar limits placed on the rest of us which is a bit unfair...e.g. I'll bet Blacky's avatar is a bit more than 8kB's.
