Matt Price - RIP

Postby Dogwatcher » Sun Nov 25, 2007 3:32 pm

Bloody hell! 45 years old, died today of a brain tumour.

A quirky writer with a bent for political and sporting stories, columnist with style.

His book on the Fremantle Dockers, who he was a passionate supporter of, was a wonderful look at an underachieving football franchise.

Whether you loved him or loathed him, Price was a wonderful writer.

RIP.

Yes, really sad.

Easily the best of the Australian's writers, always entertaining and sensible.

Crikey, thats not good.....I often couldn't fully appreciate his columns in the Weekend Oz, to many times they went over my head.......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
