Just Another Cricket Quiz

Postby rogernumber10 » Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:59 pm

For those with some time on their hands. On 10 occasions in Test history, it's been an Australian batsman who has been the first man to score a double century at a venue. Name them (they aren't in order of occurrence, but alphabetical order):

Adelaide - Victor Trumper
Brisbane (exhibition) - Don Bradman
Brisbane (gabba) - Don Bradman
Johannesburg - Herbie Collins
Leeds - don bradman
Manchester - Bob Simpson
Perth - David Boon
Peshawar - Mark Taylor
Sydney - Syd Gregory
The Oval - bill murdoch

For the 11th bonus question, only one foreigner has been the first person to score a Test double century on an Australian ground. Who was he:

The MCG - G Faulkner

I seem to be the only one on here!
I know Jack Ryder scored his only double at Adelaide...
I'm not positive if it was the first overall.

Least I have one person interested in my quiz. I'd be feeling :Hangman: if no-one responded. Ryder not the first at Memorial Drive.
