well well well....hugh minson

All discussions to do with the SANFL

well well well....hugh minson

Postby bayman » Wed Dec 05, 2007 11:18 pm

my mail tells me that although minson & north have agreed on terms etc, except that port adelaide has refused to agree on the change of clubs & will stay at norwood at this stage

so minson was behind nicholas & meeson in the pecking order & now will be behind doyle (who could teach him well though)

does anyone know anymore or have heard anything on this subject ?

And fair enough I say. Unless he has a serious problem with Norwood, why would he need to elave? If he feels the need for "opportunities" then I'm not surprised Port squashed this. If he's going to be an AFL ruckman he should warrant a spot in any SANFL side.

Bayman, at westies last year Jericho went to Norwood, that was agreed by all parties, west, NWD & Crows. I suppose the Power own Hugh Minson and because Nwd still say they require him well it makes sense to knock back the transfer, let this start to happen and you could start a landslide of poaching by fellow sanfl clubs on afl players and rookies.

He could be the first power player to switch SANFL clubs and not end up at the magpies

Not surprising the Power are doing what they can to not assist the Roosters in anyway. Relations haven't been good for a while as North have spoken their mind about some of the Power's treatment of players.

Is'nt Norwood in the same boat with both AFL teams in Adelaide?

Theres no logical reason from Ports point of view on why he should leave. He wouldnt be Norths #1 ruckman either. Hes got his chance now that every other ruckman Norwood had has left. Lets see him try and make it.

I'll tell you all one thing
If I was a junior player at North and not getting a game due to all these ex afl or so called stars I would be very peeved off and would probably go else where for a game
its a sure way of losing your talent base
Jars is taking a huge risk trying to buy this premiership
if it does not happen they will lynch him and blame him for everything
buying premierships rarely works out!

What does requesting a young AFL player who wants to play for your side got to do with buying a premiership?
If North were trying to buy a premiership they would have paid the amounts asked by Doyle.
They're simply looking at ways of replacing Wakelin and who will compliment O'Hara.
I don't think Down's up to league rucking and Wundke's younger brother who is a ruckman is probably a year away from being a league player.
