I was getting a bit off track from Smithy's case TBH and starting to speak generally. But from what he has said it definitely sounds enough to me to explore legal options further

And the fact that she resigned shouldn't stop her there's a thing called 'constructive dismissal' ie, quitting because you feel you have no other option or if your employer has made things so difficult you can't go on

All I am saying is its wrong to make people think they have no rights at work if there are less than 100 employees - we'll turn everyone into victims there are some lines employers can't cross

Good luck Smithy!

Unfortunately, they don't have as much rights as they should have.

That's right Hondo and that's what I'm exploring...
THanks for the best wishes,BP and HONDO, I'll be making more calls tomorrow..

Someone has to tell this fellow that he can't treat people like this, and he's just as bad with his customers..

WHY do people still go there?? TOURISTS,, they don't know any better when they walk in the door, and as mentioned before,, work isn't great around here so the others are too scared to leave as well....

If you need a lawyer you could try Andersons as they specialise in Industrial Relations and do most of legal work for the AMWU. I think from lectures I have had with them they give a great discount to AMWU members.
They have a 24hr Helpline: 1800 059 133

Is my old acquaintance Rob Sallis still associated with Andersons?

no idea but one of the lawyers was a pretty little thing. that kept me occupied enough just perving on her during the lecture to worry about what the lawyers names were!! :D

Gotta watch them lady lawyers - they can bite.

I went to a Christmas party at Baker O'Loughlin in Adelaide one year and one of the socialistically inclined girls went for me out of the blue for turning up in a YSL jacket and a Dior tie - both of which she recognised interestingly without reading the labels - the partner who had invited me was a bit embarrassed and apologetic afterwards.
