No,not the moving tribute to our fallen heroes,but the feeling you get when your post is the last in 2 or 3 or more pages of discussion.It makes me wonder,and not just for my own interests,but,what dictates the life of a thread,in your opinion?

I enjoy reading the 'last post' of a thread a few days later,trying to work out why none of us had any comeback/response.

When the puns run out
When some long winded poster puts up a massive post (ha ha)
When someone posts an unpleasant image such as that database crap
When tinpot dynasty makes an appearance and everyone flees
When the mods lock it down
When the topic is superseeded by a related development
When you think you've posted something really clever but find nobody gives a shit LOL
Yeah, when Wedgie is always right
When too many Crows supporters congregate on a thread - it's all over

That would have to be done for each of the boards that appear on the index - one topic for each board, and I think I'd need to try that at 2 am or a similar time.

I once did that here, was about 3 in the afternoon of a very quiet day.
