I would have had Nick Gill a lot higher than he was.
2nd in the Magarey last year and looks better this year.
A lot of guess work by Robbo there but at least its an article about the SANFL that gets us talking and/or thinking.

For those who don't get the Advertiser here's a link to the article about it, I would type out the Top 20 but I let manny take my paper today:

PS I feel sorry for WA this year as Gill and Clayton become eligible for SA Footy! :D

Wonder what he's basing his assessment on? Only been 2 rounds so he hasn't seen each team and a few of the players listed have only played one game.

Robbo is a joke

Postby Frosty » Mon Apr 10, 2006 10:32 pm

How Jade Sheedy could not be rated in the top 20 in the SANFL at present is criminal. He is certainly a better player than Nelson or Squire who were both included. What about Cicolella and Colville? Instead a bunch of AFL rejects get named after one or two weeks in this competition. Where's the sense in saying Bullen, Cupido, Baird, etc. are better? They haven't even proven themselves yet. Why not wait till halfway through the season to do this sort of thing and have a balanced view of how all the players are doing.

He had knee surgery before Xmas and has played 2 quarters of a trial game before Saturday and was behind Gill our best in the first half til he ran out of puff a bit. What about Cupido - hardly "fasting" himself? At least Cox can get fitter - not so sure about Cupido though?

cupido looks good i think , he wasnt playing aswell as he did in the trials,

cox and schubert are basically 2 huge fat thugs,
who jump and scrag on there opponents there should of been about 4 25 m penaltys paid saturday

What grade did you get to at school Benno or what grade are you still in?

Cupido looks good you think? - is that good football wise or in a "man on man" sort of gay way?

Basically fat or are fat - make your mind up? Schubert is big not fat so that was a poor attempt at trying to find another overweight North player. Re the 25's - there were 4 paid - South got them all!

Still I'll take our "fatty bombas" over your still losing century plus club of underachievers.

P.S. We had to "fatten" our players up to stop them getting frostbite at Artic Park!

4 paid all to south,
i recall clay giving away a petty one to ladhams then he did a 60 metre screwie threw for a goal.

well see. we wont be far away at the end of the year,
and recently our win loss ratio to north is not to bad.

Well benno you may well be around the mark but I didn't say otherwise did I - it's too early to tell but who would be more confident of playing finals football this year out of North and South fans so far?

This is the only time of year South fans can talk finals.

Its all matter of opinion, don't really see how you can say he got it wrong. Everyone has there favourites even journalist I am guessing. He is never going to pick the exact same 20 as everyone else. It depends what criteria you use.

Just agree to disagree on this one.
