If you can't stand the heat, stay out of Cat Park. Pass the dutchy on the left hand side, pass the dutchy on the left hand side...

Not sure sure about what we are pretending to be?

I am a long time Kangaroo fan, and while I think (hope) we have some improvement this year compared to last year we are not a chance of winning the flag, nor has anyone at the club claimed this.

Not sure what you would have said if we followed your advice and stayed out of cat park?

You had better hope that if you bag every team the cats beat during the minor round that they get it right at the end for once.

Cat Park is for me the biggest home ground advantage to any team in the AFL

Reason, it still has that suburbian feel about it and at times it blows harder then a two bon hooker which means local knowledge is critical

I think the cats are at home again this week, first three games home games against probably bottom 8 sides, not a bad draw

Have a look at the fixtures for the last few years. First game at Cat Park last year was Round 6 and it was Round 5 the year before that. Your blokes have played at Cat park only once in our last six meetings, guess where we play you next time??

just for clarity

doggies man in the sanfl and a crows man in the afl, now working and living in sydney

REB, definitely was not biting, just stating the obvious that the cats would be happy with their draw.

In regards tolast year, my understanding is the reason is that they did not play at skill stadium until round 6 is because the draw was schedule with the opening of there new stand ???

so i am not sure where your going with this ???

So Punk you think Geelong have a better run than collingwood. The pies leave victoria 3 times twice to AAMI and once to subi. Rest of there games are at the MCG or Telstra dome. So work out how many home games the pies have, probably beats essendons draw.

Lost: Sense of humour. If found, please return to Stan & REB!
Seriously, everyone should get over it. The AFL dictates the draw. Collingwod & Essendon, regardless of ladder position, attract strong crowds. The AFL wants to maximise it's attendances, by having it's main drawcards in Melbourne. I'm sure the number crunchers would be horrified, to have either team playing Kangaroos in Canberra, or the Hawks in Tassie. I'm sure if crowd figures drop, it may affect Sponsorship deals with the AFL (ie crowd attendances is relative to sponsorship exposure etc).
Coll & Ess have also made the Anzac Day game what it is- heatwave or snow, this game sells out, with thousands missing out. It also rates it's socks off- I could imagine a major yawn fest (& terrible ratings failure), if the Crows & Power (or Freo v West Coast) went head to head.
