Yes that is the problem when the same God travels with many tribes and the language diverges - static peoples kept the same name for their Gods.

It happens with names too - John, Johan, Johannes, Jean [french male version], Jan, Ian, Iain, Juan, Giovanni... possibly Ivan and Evan are too. Nothing is absolute - that is one of the problems with quizzes - even historical "fact" is debatable as it is written by the victor.

[My favourite motto is Vae Victis - "Woe (to) the vanquished." - picked up from my old Hockey coach cum Latin teacher.]
