before seeing the sides i'd be backing west & norwood at those odds but as always the ins & outs are important & i presume the auditorium is open on sat/mon as it has been at easter over the years
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Agree Norwood, agree to disagree South, I'd have something on the Yabs if Bryce Gibbs & Sellar were in the side. But they're not. So I won't.

first of all what does yab mean ? (i realise its us) i think we're a chance despite the two being out as cranston will come in for sellar & burdett for gibbs, burdett has been burning in the twos (already has 6 reserves magarey votes) & if cowans & schell are still out i'll have something on them as well but i want to see the teams first in all games

Bayman- you'd have to ask Rick E Boy, it's his terminology, I just got hooked on it. I think Central are extremely vulnerable at the moment, & would bet against them at good odds. What's your thoughts on Centrals being $4 for the flag, bearing in mind, that this time last year, they were in a similar position...

it was later than this last year, i saw them beat sturt (possible spooner though) & they looked good but as i said we've looked good in 6 of 8 quarters & if there is no schell & cowan they'll struggle to kick enough goals mind you the players have to believe they're good enough if central get out to $6 or $7 later on in year i will have something on them i also think the comp is as even as its been for years

CENTRALS

It was about round ten last year they got out to those odds.
They beat Sturt at Elizabeth that day after being down
nearly all game, the rest is history.

Id back West at those odds, its a 50/50 game with the market not reflecting that.

I'm inclined to agree with the West/South game, now it's getting closer. They should be $1.85 each, & Weideman was down at Noarlunga last weekend studying the game, so I think he'd be better prepared tactics wise than Pyman.
Hard to really gauge any side at the moment, but I think Norwood will beat the Eagles, as the Eag's seem to be self-destructing. Rumours of an unhappy playing group, with lack of respect for the coach are prominent.
The Dogs are seriously wounded at the moment, & look vulnerable, so for that reason, I'm going with the Yabs. Beat them last year, & it hurts me to say, but they are looking ok.

id be having something on west, i dont think south are all that great and being at a neutral ground makes it more of a 50-50.

I think that glenelg have looked good in four of the 8 quarters, the first quarter against norwood where they booted 7 goals, the first half and last quarter against the eagles.

Carlton for mine

Postby Frosty » Thu Apr 13, 2006 11:34 pm

If I could get $2.50 on a Carlton win I'd be all over it. Sydney lose to Port in Sydney last week then have to travel to Melb this week - get on the Blues!!!!

Blues played in Perth last week- side that play in Perth generally lose the next game.
