How will you celebrate NYE???

Postby Footy Chick » Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:40 pm

A lot of people are taking the home party option this year... I have no such luck..

I have mates from Ballarat staying with me (never been to Adelaide before) and they were insistant we go to Glenelg for NYE. It took me a whole day to talk them out of it, in the end I told them it was alcohol free and they wanted no part of it...

So now we're going to the Casino...

What are you up to??
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

My 2 y/o lad was fired up last night and was up and down like a yo-yo...Got about four hours sleep...
Usually he's a gun and sleeps for 8 - 10 hours so when he plays up (which touch wood is very rare) it kills us...
Hence we will be doing nothing and going to be by about 9 hopefully...

Gotta watch "Dinner for One" on SBS tonight. It's a NYE tradition. 8)

Besides this, will stay home and do sod-all. NYE brings out all the d!ckheads. If I went out there'd only be one more d!ckhead on the streets.

On top of which I knocked back 8 or 9 beers (plus a taste of the '85 Hill Of Grace) with an old Uni mate last night. Today I wish I hadn't...

Why would you want ten men in a spa?

Just a few drinks and poker with some mates tonight. NYE really doesn't excite me too much.

Never been a big fan of NYE, much prefer going out in the month before Xmas which is also busy but has a much better vibe and less morons about.
Was going over a mate's place who's having a party, he has a pool but only ceiling fans so I've even pulled out of that.*
Having a quiet one with the missus and kids at home with air con on full blast.

Was meant to be in Wirrabara (not far from Port Pirie) yesterday, with 3 other couples and 12 kids staying in an old school house with no air-con and no tv.Not coming back until Thursday.Decided to stay home, but, believe it or not,the rest of them went up there!

Will be at home with Mrs and little ones doing farg'all.

Not a fan of NYE. Around here they go nuts with the fireworks...end's up like a Friday night in the Gaza Strip. If previous years are anything to go by the resident binge drinkers downstairs will be hitting the Specil Brew lager and Buckfast chasers with their mates and then spend the early hours taking it in turns to try and turn themselves inside out under everyone elses bedroom windows :vom:  So instead of lying in bed getting angry about it I'll probably be killing things online with Led Zep's Mothership on the headphones. Or, if I get the chance, trying to make amends for screwing* something up.

Everyone to their own...however you guys celebrate (or not) take it easy and stay safe.

JAS

Having had an exhausting hot day, followed by a nice Lamb Saag and some "soft press" Chardonnay, I am seriously considering going to bed at about 10.30pm with a book I'd like to read. Lots to do tomorrow - like the last 18 months tax records!!
