mal wrote:I think I have the solution for the SAHTC
The BAYDUCK MALLEWIS rule
When a horse is deemed not to have a fair start, despite the starter not declaring a false start
A that horse MUST be scratched by the steward/stewards
B all betting on the said runner are void, all bets refunded, reductions apply to all dividends
C that horse can still collect the prizemoney.
UNFORTUNATELY AS HAPPENS TOO OFTEN IN THIS WORLD
Because I thought of it it might never happen
IF the SAHTC thought of this it would be passed almost instantanously
Im now going on my 2 km run now, when I get back in about 6 hours I will read the replies.

I backed Mendacity and i'm happy it was declared a starter..
The only thing I will say is that while we have humans starting races - mistakes will happen from time to time and as it happened on dispatch.... could the starter see it in time??
However I want to give a![]()
to the stewards on suspending T Calabria from Metro racing for 6 months... His driving has taken a severe turn for the worse since his "split" from the Golden Grove team and having the number of suspensions in 2 weeks he had (yes he is to appeal a number of them) and still knock blokes over shows no regard for the punter / owners of other horses and more importantly (and i'm sure Strutter / Centreman will agree) the safety of his fellow drivers.... If anyone wants to ask Matt Harding or Terry Brown about race falls - i'm sure they'll tell you how much better off you are without idiots knocking you over - just for fun!!
