Its still 38 here in Melb and we won't get the cool change until tomorrow afternoon.

38? Throw on a jacket. Sounds like a cool change from Adelaide's weather yesterday.

Cool change just come through and its down to 28.

When you add Melbourne's higher humidity you still feel it. But I agree it is not as desiccating as an Adelaide 40+, nor as glarey - the light is subtly less intense further south.

Oh, stop crying about the bloody weather ya bunch of softies. Last week, here, it was minus 9, and it's been cold wet and bloody dark all day long, ever since.

Take your choice,

a) Too cold to go outside at all, everything (including the car) frozen solid, damp, miserable and only about 3 hours of daylight during the day

or

b) Bloody hot, nice Barbie by the pool or the beach, 12 hours sunshine lounging by the sea, and a nice dip; when the heat gets too much

sheesh

Oh, and just to put the icing on the cake, snow is forecast later this week, just to make the conditions more miserable than they already are.

Too cold to go outside or too hot to go outside.
(Beaches were deserted and trying to cook a BBQ would give you a coronary, not to mention every bit of plant life being dead and water running out)
Hmm, give me too cold to go outside, easier to sleep at least.
Alsot a lot easier to put more clothes on than take more off when you're virtually starkers.

John, at least in the cold you can rug up. In the hot you can only take off so many clothes in an effort to keep cool before people start getting offended...

JTC, it has been so hot lately, that my BBQ has gone on strike asking for better cooking conditions.

LOL, 12 hours in the sunshine, 52 melanomas later, with third degree burns to 90% of your body, then you do swim and either drown or get taken by a bloody shark...
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

I thought I heard, when I was there, that they were building a de-salination plant in South Australia.

Is this right, and how long before you get it. Should make a hell of a difference

At the rate things happen in Adelaide I'd say it'll probably open in about 2463.
Just in time for Central's 461st premiership.

Went to town zzzzzzz.
That could've been my last New Years Eve in town.
Full of idiots, drunks & sl*ts- & that was my friends!
Had much better fun out fri & sat night.

On a sad note, when getting out of my taxi, my cat came running acroos the road to see me, only to be nearly hit by a car. The driver slammed her brakes on (she did very well to avoid hitting him), but he ran off frightened, & I haven't seen him since. :(
