I must admit, I did raise an eyebrow when I saw who the interview was with. But when you think he was there for a million years (it seemed), he did do a pretty good job. I think the job had passed him in his latter years though.

Perhaps he means the 1982 PF. As a Norwood supporter I really enjoyed sitting in the airport bar in Melbourne watching the two sides thump the hell out of each other knowing the winner was going to play Norwood in the GF

Maybe from a Sturt supporter's viewpoint I guess it was about the last time the DB's got within 15 goals of Port for the next 6 or so years (without checking the records)
