Must say I was a bit suprised as I actually expected North to better over the first 2 rounds than they did and they've come in!!

North Adelaide $3.20
Port Adelaide Magpies $3.20
Central District $4.00
Eagles $8.00
Norwood $11.00
Glenelg $18.00
South Adelaide $26.00
Sturt $34.00
West Adelaide $51.00

WEDGIE

They are undefeated thats why.

And just maybe Centrals and Eagles are not
as good as the last few years.

Yeah but my point is if a team is $8 before the season starts and is expected win Rds 1 and 2 by 10 goals in each game and win by less they shouldn't be shortened in the odds.

I still think its a 4 horse race as the Eagles are currently decimated by injuries and Central know how to perform when the real stuff starts.
Weirdly enough I think Port's 18 actually looks more settled and better than North's for some reason, I think its because we have about 4 -6 players tha could all play the same spot where Port's talent is nicely balanced.
Central still the fav in my mind though, Port next, then North, then Eagles, everything else should be in the 100s/1000s IMHO.

FWIW, I think the Eagles are gone for the year. Not so for the Doggies. They have to much experience, & while their depth is tested at the moment, it's key, irreplaceble players like Schell who are injured. If the Doggies drift out too much further, I'll have to consider a wager. North have to prove themselves to me (too much heartbreak in my youth), while Port are looking dangerous, & will be right up there- and so they should, with the talent they have.

The only team out of NA, PA, CD & WWT, that he bet $8 about was Port

You only have to look at the Eagles injury list to know not to write them off, don't get me wrong, I don't think they'll be winning the flag, but they'll be up there.

PR i agree with you about the Eagles being 'gone'. I mean they are self destructing and there are other teams out there that deserve to win the premiership.

quite funny last week some bays fans yelled out for holding the ball when it clearly when it wasnt and an eagles fan said that we were starting to sound like them.

MT AND WEDGIE

By definition the Eagles have to be worse
than last year.
The loss of Ohara, Stokes and Watts may
well be insurmountable.
Plus Knights will play for the crows on a regular basis.

These four guys were excellent in the finals last year.
The retirement of Mark Stevens and the fitness of Hall and
Frewen is stretching their key positional resources.

The targets up forward Oakley and Grocke were both
fringe players struggling at NA last year.

great value the doggies, remember last year when they drifted out to $5 when they where 3 -5 I think, before coming into $1.60 at the start of finals. Dont make the same mistake again!
