Using that logic doing 140k/ph would be OK because they'd be there before any harm could be done.
What if a person would only hit a farmer pulling out from some dirt road if they were doing exactly 110km/h.
Would doing 120km/h or 130km/h be OK then?

I can understand the point if you'd said people are more likely to be in serious accidents the faster they go but to use the logic that its more of an issue because you get to a spot sooner is abstract to say the least. Using that logic the faster you go the better as you're unlikely to be at a place as you spend less time passing it. :?

Exactly the moronic logic a 16 yr old in an early model commodore would use to justify belting down Main North Road at over 80k's in heavy traffic weaving in and out.
p.s. I realise that you are neither moronic nor 16 Wedgie but that sort of argument is fatuous in the extreme.

Ah someone else who thinks Adelaide stops at Gepps Cross!
I travel between Gawler and Salisbury every day and actually made a point of remembering them yesterday- 3 in the morning-06:30- (1 commodore with "P" plate, 1 Astra with "P" plate and 1 tradesman in a Falcon ute) and 2 in the afternoon-15:00 ( 1 commodore with "P" plate and 1 without).

They are everywhere in St Kilda on the weekend. Why? They got rid of the sandhills in St Kilda years ago.
4WDs and the dumb arse CUBs driving them can FO as far as I'm concerned.
