That guy taking strike should have opened on a one off until Matt the bat is back

Disagree. Don't mess with the order. They were right to bring in someone to open rather than shuffle guys around. I wouldn't have gone with Rogers myself but i'm glad they didn't move Hussey up there.

Over number 7 was a 5 ball over. No excuse for these sorts of errors....

HUSSEY opens for this test only
allows DJ HUSSEY or KATICH into the middle order
both DJ + KAT are far superior batsman to ROGERS

If HAYDEN retires then you play ROGERS

5 ball overs

I just don't think it's wise to mess with the batting order for a one off Test. Personally i would have brought Katich in to open but agree with you that Rogers would be the replacement if it was a long term spot.

Wouldn't it be nice to have Dizzy to go in at 8 or 9 now and steady the ship, or even better make one of his rock solid 50's.

Easy wins have made the selectors job too easy in the past.......

Are you trying to tell me he has finally learnt how to set a field? :? For once I'm with Chappell, he never lost a series as skipper so should know a bit about the caper.

Symonds 52 (44balls). Great knock. This summer has proven beyond doubt that Andrew Symonds belongs in the Test side.
