History? History says Aussies have won 16 in a row...would you bet against a horse with 1111111111111111 against its name?

Aussies for me, very comfortable with my Lay*

the highest score in this match is 330 & that was the first innings, so how is a team going to make over 400 & win batting on a 4th/5th day pitch

my odds
india 1.18
aust 7.50
draw 1,000,001.00

Chasing 400 to win, yes.

In other words, would you back Phar Lap, Makybe Diva with 85kgs on their back? History says 'no'.

There is a reason why 400 hasn't been chased down too many times.....

If you gave odds on any team in the world chasing 400 down, it'd be 100 to 1. I said to my wife tonight (who said they had a good chance) - For every 100 attempts, about 1 team has got there.

No doubt the Aussies deserve respect, so their chances are improved, but seriously, if they chase down 400, with batsman out of form (Hussey, Clark, Ponting) then they deserve the title as worlds best*

* Rauf will no doubt have a say in it either way

The pitch is a typical 4th day pitch though. It's very dry and it's starting to become very two-paced. Kumble will be dangerous tomorrow. Reckon the Aussies will have a solid partnership somewhere early on ... Hussey/Ponting ... Clarke/Ponting ... wait til the odds get out a bit then jump on the Indians.
