fortuneately i didn't back it as it was way too short, i agree it was a shocking drive, he chose to drop to the pegs (fair enough) then at about the 400m all he wanted to do was come as wide as he could, now i'm not saying it would have won but if he had stayed on the pegs i'm sure he would have gone close, i also thought the horse looked sore over the last 500m, but i'll wait until i see the replay to confirm my first thoughts

Whilst conceding the drive by P.Butterworth was ordinary, I still thought the horse was disappointing in that it raced ungenerously and wasnt exactly bolting at the finish.

Completely agree it was disappointing, but when you overdrive an average horse like he did, it won't finish off...

If the horse was racing ungenerous - where is the best place to be generally speaking??
The Fence - which makes the drive over the last 600m even worse in my view when he should have gone there, not that I think it would have made a difference...

the sideshows/minigolf are across the lawn from the hotel anyway but in the end his mother wanted him for the day as for his effort of a couple of mondays ago well last night they were hugging each other he's 8 & she's a cute 16 he does a lot better than me (that wouldn't be hard to beat)
