I have seen Egg-nog in supermarkets lately but i'm pretty sure it isn't Farmers union, possibly "Dare" or one of those other brands.

Is the OAK egg nog the one previously made by Framer Union? This is the only one I know of at major retailers.

My wife sometimes drinks it, but I'm a double coffee latte, no sugar, man. There is one company here that markets a strong coffee ready made milk drink which is not bad, but it is presumably not popular as it is not everywhere.

Sorry, yeah no Farmers Union anymore. Dairy Farmers only...I think it's the "old" eggnog that Farmers Union
used to do, except Dairy Farmers now have the recipe. If you look at a carton next time you pick one up*, you'll
see the old Farmers Union artwork on the top fold down area...

Are we sure that Farmers Union actually use to do the Egg Nog, or was it Dairy Vale...think it may have been Dairy Vale, who like Eve yoghurt were taken over by Dairy Farmers. They then used the OAK branding as used in eastern Aus.

If my memory serves me right...Farmers Union basically stopped making all flavoured milks bar Iced Coffee, Strawberry & Chocolate. Dairy Farmers "took" over the Farmers Union Eggnog and viola. The "old" logo, was to show that it was the Farmers Union one which was pretty popular...
I stand to be corrected though...

P.S I love Eggnog !!

National Foods (Farmers Union) still do the whole "Classic" range (about 8 flavours) of which one used to be "Classic Egg Nog", although Ive not seen it for mnay years, plus they do the "Take Care" range of iced coffee and chocolate.
The more I think about it, the more I think the Egg Nog we are talking about was made by Dairy Vale

Indeed redwhiteandblueblooded.
I am not an iced coffee drinker, but I talk to 200 visitors from QLD and NSW every day and they take the Farmers Union Iced Coffee home in the crate load.

That's the one I'm thinking about...White Carton, two jugs on side, with a couple of eggs, and wheat strands ???
It's driving me nuts !! Will go and get one tomorrow (OAK version !!).

The Dairy Vale one, won the best flavoured milk award in 2001 at the Dairy Food awards !!

RW & BB, only seen OAK version. Foodland at Fulham Gardens has it for sure...will buy one tomorrow !!

According to farmersunion.com.au the only products made with the "Farmers Union" brand are
- Iced Coffee
- Light Iced Coffee
- Strong Iced Coffee

The best flavoured milk Farmers Union ever brought out was the Malt 'n' Honey Drink in the early - mid 80's.
From memory production was stopped due to the cost of making the drink competitive enough.
