1st $2.80 win & $1.10 place
3rd $1.60 place

r1 unplaced but was way too short to back, you need at least double what it was

I can see why D Smith went to the breeze (because he likes to overdrive them)...
Wasn't one of his finest drives.. But in his defence..

The equal Fav - Heza Hero was buried back on the fence
It was back in grade from the good trotters
It was back to the 2230m trip...

At least he didn't cheat like those blokes in the Trot on Friday night

I thought it was a poor drive
Jimmy Jaques called it doing too much work before the home straight
but irrespective what we all think at the time
the horse ran unplaced and so = poor drive

I don't think it was a great drive MAL - but I'm also not sure that's a great theory.. Just because a horse doesn't run a place doesn't make it a bad drive.. The horse may have had a bad night and not gone as good as it can....

This horse has done work before over 2230m and been competitive and i'm sure if any other horse was infront - they would have handed up... and then it would have been a "great drive".

Just remember the horse has rated about 2:07.5 for the 2230m off the 20m - when it won two starts ago over 2230m (off 10m) it rated 2:08.0 - the horse has run a quicker time then when it won, but the others ran quicker and that's what beat it as much as the drive.
