These blokes don't deserve licences - what they did was nothing short of cheating..
Blokes like Rogers have done the right thing for safety - to let the clerk of the course do their job and get robbed by incompetent drivers like Hurrell and Jacques... shouldn't ever be allowed to drive again

For those who did not view this race
The leader was Radiant Storm by about 10 metres and a clear leader
A horse that had lost its reinsman went inside the field and got next to Radiant Storm on the rail
The clerk of the course caught the riderless horse and restrained it
Radiant Storm had to veer outwards + ease up to allow this to be safely done
2 other drivers then went inside Radiant Storm and put RADAINT STORM 3 wide
RADIANT STORM then had to ease back to 3rd [UNFAIRLY]
One of those horses that railed thru crossed the line 1st VUE U MONDE but was disqualified
Protest 3rd [RS ] V 1ST [VDM] was upheld
The 2nd horse AWESOME ADAM was gifted the race [ but was not one of the horses that railed inside RS]

This race should have been declared a non race
But then again TAB holdings are at stake.....

I didnt back Radiant Storm
But those who did would be irate

I agree that those who backed Radiant Storm would be filthy, but what about those of us who layed Awesome Adam.
Awesome Adam suffered no interference, had every possible hope to pick up the leaders and wasnt good enough yet by fluking 2nd ahead of Radiant Storm gets the result.
I believe a NO RACE would have been a fairer result but when it comes to me agreeing with the Chief Gerard, Im down 6-1, and 4-0 in the 2nd.

AWESOME ADAM the eventual winner was miles behing RADIANT STORM
It made up prob about 15 -20 metres [?] when RS was eased up
There is without a shadow of doubt that RS would have easily beaten AA

From the Stewards report on this disgraceful incident..

Immediately following the event, the Stewards requested that all tickets be held until they viewed the film of the Clerk of the Course taking the driverless RED BEAR WROXTON out of the race, to ascertain whether undue interference was caused to any runner. Prior to all clear, driver Greg Rogers (RADIANT STORM) 3rd, lodged an objection against VUE DU MONDE being declared the winner, alleging that it took an unfair advantage in the back straight on the second occasion when the Clerk of the Course had directed the drivers to go wider on the track. The Stewards, after taking evidence from drivers Michael Laird (LOMBO CONNOISSEUR), Wayne Jacques (BLACK CURLEW), Des Nolan (AWESOME ADAM), John Hurrell (VUE DU MONDE) and Greg Rogers (RADIANT STORM), acting on their own observations and viewing the official film, were satisfied that although VUE DU MONDE, RADIANT STORM and BLACK CURLEW all had to shift up the track to allow the Clerk of the Course to complete his job, there was no undue interference to any runner. In relation to the objection lodged by Greg Rogers, the Stewards found that driver John Hurrell (VUE DU MONDE) had taken a run to the inside of BLACK CURLEW and RADIANT STORM whilst these horses were still being restrained to allow the Clerk of the Course to take RED BEAR WROXTON out of the field; subsequently, acting under the powers of Rule 66, the Stewards disqualified VUE DU MONDE from the race. At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged driver John Hurrell under Rule 162 (1) (n), with taking an unfair advantage in the back straight on the second occasion. Hurrell was found guilty as charged and his driver’s licence was suspended for 28 days.

These blokes aren't serious - seriously
How can they suspend one of the two drivers and leave W Jacques with a licence.... This has to be a joke

Let's state that - Yes - I'm talking out my pocket..
But they can't be serious that there was no undue interference to any runner... Radiant Storm went from leading 30m clear to 3wide and then outside the leader...

And you wonder why turnover is down... This wouldn't happen in any other state in Australia - they would look after the punter!!!

The stewards report stating no undue interference gets a 9-3 rating in Best Jokes

28 days WTF, you've got to be kidding for hurrell that'd be about 5 drives at best (which not that he would but if 'hollywood' harding did it it would be about 80 drives so just with that stat he has basically got off for CHEATING), which means he's been outed for about 5 drives for TAKING AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE which is a nice way of saying HE CHEATED, thankfully the footy season is almost here because i'll be at the footy & not watching this CRAP happening

regards bayman who is very dissillusioned with what has happened in recent weeks, it's like the inmates are running the asylum
