Just putting street name but not number doesn't work. We had a garage sale a year ago and just advertised street name and 8:00am start time. Somehow (no idea but assume these people have some sort of supernatural powers) we had people rocking up at 5:30am. Made a lot of money though. People will pay for all sorts of crap especially if they think they're getting a bargain.

pack up your stuff and take to trash and treasure at the Gepps X Drive in on a Sunday Morning. For a modest fee (I think $20) one can set up a tressle and sit back and watch the literally thousands of peoples shuffle past for a look. Whatever doesn't sell drop of at Vinnies/Salvos on the way home.
