yes the occasional beer he enjoys but was suprised with his desicion to move with the hawks gaining the services of an excellent coach and mentor for younger player. Aditional midfield strength would have also aided him. spose the $$$ was to hard to argue with which is a shame

Scuddsy has barley missed a session. Has done all of our hard beach runs and pool sessions. Even been at non cumpulsory sessions. I was under the impression he was not liking the 'fat and lazy' tag that many gave him out at modbury. He WILL play trials unless he gets injured between now and then. Loving the club and fitting in well with all the boys and the young vibrant culture.

Stay tuned for a some GG news soon. Ill have to check my sources but hopefully will have something for you by weeks end

no doubt some people gave him that tag but there was some truth to it...... still question is 'why leave (run) with a new coach new players'

good luck to him he will be almost imposible to match up on in div 5 the div 2 defeders played him alot smarter and he was less effective

I was told the other day that he played in the same junior side as Sparnon out at modbury. That may have held some weight. I dont dabble in that side of it but undoubtedly some coin would also be a factor. Hey, maybe he wanted a fresh start and a change of scencery and saw GG, with mitch as coach as the best place to do so.

did play with sparnon but no solid friendship off the field
fresh start correct and coin correct but belived the hawks are run differently and more proffesionally now. he could have been very handy this year esspecially if he got fit

Fair enough. Either way he'll be very handy for us. Hes a good bloke to. Fitting in with all the young blokes and setting a good example with training attendance and work ethic. By know stretch of the imagine is he as fit as he could be he but has definatley worked hard over summer and improved by a mile.

Turning away from the scuddsy thing, heres my tip for the top 5 in no particular order. Long way off yet. This purley taken from what we have all hard regarding in and outs as well as form last year.

any truth to the rumour that the burras will need to rely on the development of the 2nd year seniors eg. hoaklas, dash etc
as they have lost more than recruited on top of going up a div???? is shepard playing or is he still at a league club

why will BOS be in the top 5..they lost their 3 best players burra..and you dont even have plympton in there LMAO

but of course GG is in there..dude..get a grip..scudds joined for the coin..at modbury hes just another player within a much more talented group..go down to div 5 hes a bit more of a big fish and gets more $$ quite simple..the palava about the vibrant culture is just posturing..you had one good year after being dismal the year before..and if hectorville kicks straight in the prelim then you dont even get to the GF..and promotion..you got more money than most clubs in div 1 have and council support to the hilt..you might finish in the 5..if so well done..if you dont you are massive underacheivers imo with all that support

Agreed i dont think they will make the 5 scudds good inclusion but the strong word of recruits deciding to go elsewhere could hamper the chance of being competative in a higher div

Sheppard still out with centrals. He will play reserves footy this year without a doubt. Skinner and Cavanagh are still with Norwood also. There involvment with us in 08 was a rumour last year. Apparently they were sick if league football culture but dont hold me accountable for that as it was heard second hand.

Only lost Parrish from last years team. He's gone back to Pirie. Only played 5 games for us so not a huge loss there. Complete faith in the development of our younger players.

More money than div 1 club??? Id like to see your sources on that  Just because we recieved a grant for clubrooms doesnt mean we have a huge budget to bring players in. Our sources of revenue raising would be similar to all other clubs.

Like i said. It's a long way off predicting a top 5. No one has really any idea outside of there own club at the moment apart from the speculation on boards such as this and general word of mouth. OK, i left plympton out. Ill cop that. I still expect a good season from blackfriars. They have lost three good players but premierships and good sides are won and lost on a group that small. Rugari and co will still be around and a fresh batch of lads out of 1st XVIII. Yes they will come back to the pack but i still rate them as a quality opposition.

In terms of recruiting....a few big name players fell through for us. I wont name name's. We have had some good inclusions at the club that are not as a result of the recruiting team. More like mates of the boys. Like i said earlier, stay tuned i might be able to make an announcment late in the week regarding some ins.

Do you still play zedman??? Wouldnt mind asking a Scuddsy or a Bodie Williams to present a friendly hip and shoulder considering some of the attacks and drivel you make.

Mighty Hounds think that Zedman would be refering to Sonogan, Millikin & Hillman.

I wouldnt be Suprised if Greenacres arent anywhere near as strong as people are thinking.
From the word that ive had from in the Club, some of these players that have been brought over have certainly fallen off from the first few trainings.
