The truth hurts,
If you are(refering to me getting paid) you are miles off
your 1st post was a good one my friend
If they were going to spend money on players im sure they would spend it on better players rather than a 33yo at the end of his footy!
Some of you guys are either jealous of success or have nothing better to do than stir sh*t
Maybe you should look at your own club and look for ways for the competition to get better instead of trying to drag the better sides/clubs backwards!
I not saying this in a nasty way but why not try to improve the whole competition and make it stronger.
Doesnt always take money to get people/players to a club.

so incase you dont understand i am not getting paid a thing to play with Cobby footy Club!
Im there cos i want to be

As I've said before, I don't have a problem with players being paid by clubs. That's between them and the club.
But I reckon if you pay players, just admit it (if you're in a position to do so). I think it's hypocritical to deny, deny, deny if you are paying. If you're not prepared to deal with the consequences of paying players, then don't do it.

PS: Two Moorook players have apparently been offered money to cross to another Independent club in each of the past two seasons. So those players were either lying, or severely confused by the conversation that they took part in with the club involved.

Hissey will be a bloody good pick-up for the Swans.
Talking to some Swans players on Saturday and they reckon they'll be around the mark this year.
Hard to see happening, but maybe they know more than they were letting on...

Hey mate, I don't think anyone was mentioning you in regards to this.
The original post which sparked this debate was referring to another player.

As for the situation I mentioned, only those involved know the truth - hence I provided two options ;)
But you do hear stories about payment situations, and not all come from players trying to bump up their value/ego.

Hissey will be a very good pick-up. The boy can fly!

With that news in mind BD, it will be interesting to see the Independents this season.
Lyrup will provide an even greater challenge for Cobby than they did last year one would suspect.
Nathan Gregory apparently back for the Lions - a huge boost. A possible early contender for the Duthie Medal if he kicks straight into gear.
Apparently Nathan Willmott back full time too.
Interesting forward line to fit in Willmott, Centofanti, Gregory (now more than likely to play across half back), Lippis and the rumoured pick-up of Simon Sumner.
Lions have also picked up Matt Rechia, a young fella who will be a handy crumber at this level.

Brown's Well are also looking like they'll improve. Two ruckmen and a midfielder have signed on (Hampel, Stocker-Thiele, Johns). All quality players. Still a long way to go for them, but they'll certainly improve.

East Murray should struggle though. Haven't heard anything from down Wunkar way.
You blokes will be around the mark again one would think...

Renmark plays its first trial match this weekend against Eastern Park.
Should be a good hitout.
A twilight match methinks to escape this heat....

Haha. Is that the oval we went past on the way to Adelaide?

I won't be playing I don't reckon. Hurt my thumb at training last week.
Could have been from too many Steve Irwin impressions though....

I think South Park is for immature twits. The fact you both watch it confirms my thoughts.
