That's fair enough.
But what I don't like is the next thing. Victorian clubs, interstate clubs, their injuries, news, etc. To me, the television media dismiss the SANFL when I think they should be promoting it more. When I hear them tell the scores (And a bit of token footage) it's almost because they have to.
I don't think the SANFL is "dying". IT won't die, and will never die. It's nothing like it was in the decades gone by, but it is what it is because of so many factors that can't, and won't, change.

CP, the attendances should be correct, as I first got them out of the Football Times yearbook of 1983, then I checked them with the SANFL Annual Report. What might have been considered when saying that would be the Escort Cup matches and the State game included in the overall total for that season. So that total was used against the same eqivalent totals for other years, regardless if they had night series or how many state games were played. That would be my guess.

From where i was sitting we had more fans at the game this year.Funny it didnt appear the doggies fans attended in large numbers the last 2 weeks infact it was like a seconds game when the doggies played the bays.
