Moo Moo Final NSW vs. Vic

Postby Rik E Boy » Mon Mar 03, 2008 3:18 pm

And the winner is Sydney???

The Buttrangers have slumped to 5/132 in their second dig against the WACAs and appear to be headed for outright defeat. This would mean that the final would be held in Sydney which has proven to be a batsman's paradise this summer.

Go you Bluebaggers..who are miles away from knocking off the Tigers. Blues need seven runs an over for a session and a half with three out including Katich who's 40 follow's up yet another first innings ton.

Year of the Kat=Year of the Bluebagger?

Blues side for the final?

JAQUES
HUGHES
PUP
KATICH
THORNLEY
HADDIN
LAMBERT
LEE
CASSON
CLARK
MacGILL
12th: BRACKEN

Not sure what's happened with BOLLINGER. BRACKEN to miss with CASSON in with the Blues going in with two spinners. They might omit LAMBERT and get BRACKEN in that way. BOLLINGER dead stiff to miss out if injured, it's because of him and KATICH that we're in the final.

Depends on the pitch
spin friendly ?
or the usual road that gets presented for p/cup finals
LAMBERT would never ever ever ever ever get a shirt if itwas a norMAL SCG pitch
But if its a road NSW may want to stiffen up the batting
BRACKEN is a far superior cricketer to LAMBERT and for team harmony must not be dropped.

CASSON must bat in front of LEE because he is a better batsman if he plays

BOLLINGER is injured I think a broken foot

MY LINE UP

1 HUNGRY JAQUES
2 HUGHES
3 PUP
4 THE KAT
5 HADDIN
6 THE DOM
7 CASSON
8 LEE
9 CLARK
10 BRACKEN
11 CARPEL TUNNELL KID THE MIGHTY MACGILL
12th man Andrew Johns

Imperative NSW play 3 quicks, go in postively for the win and not the draw
THE DAVE is the danger man
He would feast on an attack of only 2 quicks and a diet of spin + Lambert.

I say to the curator make it a result pitch
NSW have a far superior bowling contingency
OR
On a flat deck VI bat first on a road get to 400+ and .....

Pretty even first day, reckon the Vics would be stoked, think they would have been expecting NSW with that lineup to push close if not over 500 by the end of their innings, IMHO, points today to the Vics

I agree with that if then vics can clean them up for 300 then I think they will be happy with that. Seen as the batting ability of NSW.
