Really looking forward to it, first Easter that all 3 mini-smacs will wake up together (the two eldest have spent Easter morning with their mother since the arrival of number 3).

And yes, strawbs, she will NOT see that picture... No need for me to get up in the middle of the night to attend to her nightmares - smac jr will love it though!

We have about 320 days off football, that's too many.
Surely we can go one more day with football is the point that should be made.

Considering that thirty years ago the football season did not start until ANZAC Day and you only had games on Saturday, I believe that you should consider yourself lucky with the number of days you do get to see it played nowadays.

What percentage of the population see Easter as a religious event, and what percentage see it as just another long weekend?

My money would not be on the God rockers...whoops,is that gambling on a good Friday?

Booney, I am pretty sure if you asked people what Easter represented, at least 90% would refer to it being a religious festivity.

Im not so sure..but I think it would be a fairly even split.More so,it is a religious festival, but I guess my question is what does it mean to you,not so much what it is.(Historically)

Ahhh, now that question would get a different response!

I think we should make all people who are not religious work this weekend and let those who are religious have the weekend off - you watch the number of religious quadruple overnight!
