Is Michael Raidis playing there again this year? Heard some talk Corey Smelt, eg Glenelg/Tailem Bend/Mypolonga might be playing at Kangy as well..

Raidar is still playing there, coaching the B grade aswell I believe. Not too sure on the recruits, I only really get down there every now and again during the season.

Re: Callington. I know that Hirst and McCardle have returned back to play with us at Goolwa. king is living in Canberra, Jim McLure was last i heard playing at Henley. Some of the other ring ins like Chapman, Hirschausen etc are not playing footy at all. Sounds like they are losing more than they are gaining. My mates enjoyed playing out there but couldn't handle having 11 out at training and couldnt handle the inconsistency of the club. Losing by 50 goals one week, then been competitive the next is no way to play footy.

Who are the key players in Nairne's side? They're rated highly but dont appear to have many "name" players.

As far as I know Barnett is still coach. There seems to have been a mass exodus at Cally with very few incoming players. Apparently they have signed Adam Saliba, but as with Troy Bond, an artist is nothing without a good backing band. Worse when they're over 35. I don't think they have any hope beyond the bottom 3 as a good mate plays and says training numbers are dismal. I heard today that they have a home trial under lights against Peake this Friday night. Would be interested if anyone attending could report.......
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Kersbrook won the B's by a goal after being 4 to Zip down, while Kersbrook's A's proved too strong for Hectorville winning by 10 goals. Returning from Elizabeth, Lee Hughes bagged 6 goals, while Brad Lees is his first outing for the Brookers kicked 5. For Hectorville, ex Bridgewater Raider player Bentley kicked 8 of his teams 11 goals. Coach Brett James and several others only palyed a half, while the new Ruckman impressed on debut. Hectorville, while they lost the game, you would think would be around the mark in Div. 6. Go as far as saying they won't be in Div 6 next year, especially if Big Bentley stays injury free.

Brad Lees will have his clearance appeal held at the HFL tribunal this Wednesday night. Understand there is only 1 person at TV holding his clearance back, and it's not their president. TV's arguement (well one bloke's arguement) is that Lees is a required player. Doesn't live in either Town, Doesn't owe them money, didn't sign a contract, will only clear him back to Kilburn, but is a REQUIRED player??? WTF?? If the HFL tribunal don't grant Lees his clearance, they have a mighty short memory, considering TV have raided other HFL Clubs in the past (Birdwood, Onkas and nearly killed Gumeracha). Could have these Clubs knocked back previous clearances to TV, by just saying that the players were REQUIRED?? I wonder if TV are bringing in a QC for Wednesday night's hearing.
