1/ I can't stand clubs being referred to as their emblems,eg the Bulldogs (Western & Canterbury),Kangaroos,
Sydney Roosters,West Coast Eagles(very rarely West Coast) etc..
2/ West Torrens were referred to as "Torrens" by a fair amount of people.
Woodville-Torrens is less of a mouthful as Woodville-West Torrens.
Fair enough I was just having ago at dwayne russell

Didja hear that, Ma? I'm a bona-fide boffin!
Assume in the following that "Central" by itself is a singular form and "Districts" or "Central Districts" is plural.
Apostrophes are used:
1. to denote posession, e.g. Central's home oval
2. to denote missing letters, e.g. Central's playing shithouse = Central is
"its" is an exception to the first rule. it's means "it is". its means "belonging to it"
Apostrophes are not used for plural forms.
The Central Districts are up north.
However, an apostrophe can appear after a plural to denote posession:
Central Districts' home ground is Hamra Homes oval.
Alles klar?

a) the Double Blues are referred to as The Blues
b) the Redlegs are referred to as the Legs
c) the Blood & Tars are referred to as the Bloods
d)Swan Districts are referred to as the Swans
e)Collingwood are referred to as the Woods
f)Tottenham Hotspur are refferred to as Spurs
etc.,etc.
Fairly sure I've heard the call"Go Norths" at Prospect too, as for the merchandise probably a logistical decision re. fitting Central District on a cap etc, one would need a head as big as one E.McGuire.

I've never heard the Central/Centrals debate between Bulldog supporters. Usually it's the District/Districts issue and even that is far and few between.
"North Adelaide Salary Caps" - is that singular or plural?
