added the last paragraph after you posted o l which explains.

Hey grub...what about we also vote on Grub Sports Bet golden whistle. No 'nasty' comments, but a fair assessment from 0 to 5 on each umpires performance. Hell we might even make a difference. Given that an adequate performance is 3, would be interesting how they rate at the end of the year. Can see it now, JP relegating SJ to the 2's for the last round of the year to protect his 1 vote lead in the GSB Golden Whistle.

Interesting BTB. The umpires from Mallees Waybacks game may very well hope this count starts next week...

Given the alleged incidents regarding umpires during the cricket season, do you think this is a good idea? Just a thought....

btb, you (and others) may see it as sinking the boots in and hiding behind alias, etc. I have no problem with that but please tell me which parts of my posts you see as outrageous? You are incorrect about my knowledge and interest in our competition. I agree it is a sad situation but in reality how long can the comp cope with one sided games - what good is it doing to anyone?? How long will it keep going before somebody has the guts to do something? 1 year, 2 years...?

Now that most of us have come out of the closet this should not be a problem...think the main problem related to a nasty comment made by a confirmed 'troll' towards a PLCA umpire....tips wont allow that to happen anymore.....
If I was rating the Anzac day umpires it would have been Umpire Davey...4 votes...controlled game well and was 'invisible' for a fair part of the game. (good for umpires)..Umpire Forrest 2...was a bit too visible at times.
I can see the biggest problem with something of this nature is that many of the comments on here reflect a negative attitude...so you are probably right ot wouldn't work.

I can whistle Dixie

I wouldn't call it Capitalcorp Golden Whistle - just BTB Golden Whistle (Fatty blows enough air for both of us)

You are a troll OL if you think the best thing for the PLFL is to omit the BFC and turn it into a 5 team comp. What next omit Mallee Park too when they struggle then we can all play finals wont that be great. If you get rid of BFC the comp wont improve because most of those guys just wont play footy then we lose the kids well wheres the future of our game?? Every effort must be made to keep it a 6 team comp and improve the lesser teams. That is what will improve our comp. Maybe we could introduce a 2 year amnestey on BFC players to make it harder for other sides to poach the better players....

SA Water have been in contact with Waybacks regarding sharing the Windsor Ave stormater drains, SA Water will block off all drains on Saturdays allowing the Dees to gain access under the road. On the negative side the concrete pipes are small and all players will have to army crawl thru them, but the cost has been reduced from $150,000 for the tunnell to $100 rent on a Saturday.
Bystander what do the lights cost to rent at Ravendale? Say if you wanted to put on a cricket match or special event? I have heard an amount but seems rather cheap?

Biggles, you need to stop blaming other clubs for poaching and start asking why the players that leave instigate contact with other clubs. The players that have come to us from Bostons, all wanted out......

ok WCP i see your point and would have to agree and i understand why blokes are fed up with the club but we have made some inroads to success off the field and its only a matter of time before that transfers to our onfield performance. Once that happens then i'm sufre the club will attract more quality footballers.

WCP - big difference, it'd be easier to live near Poole Oval than far South where the Panthers pick up players. Think it's easy to coax someone to Christies Downs...?

Haven't got details here but from memory, about $15/hour, depending on which oval & how much light you wan't. Can anyone confirm or denie TCC moving to Ravendale in a joint net facility, as was stated at PLCA AGM??

WCP - could be worse - you could support Glenelg where history has shown inroads to failure off the field leads to failure on the field.
