C'mon Punky, you've got to be more accurate than that!

In order at the end of the minor round:

Port #-o
North
Eagles [-o<
Central
South

Glenelg
Norwood
West
Sturt :butthead:

Good topic as I wanted to amend my preseason efforts as I was way off the mark with the Bays, Mickan's doing something right down ther!
Teams I can't separate I'll put together.

Port/North
Central/Eagles/Glenelg/South/Norwood
Sturt/West

Yeah I know I'm sitting on the fence with a few there but the comp is so even and it will only take a bit of luck/bad luck with injuries for everything to change.
I'd like to see every team play each other once before giving a definitive order.

Dont ask me how this happens in a 9 team comp, but you have to wait until round 14 for this to have happened.

Port dont play Sturt until then. Not that this would have much bearing on your ladder positions any way.

How does this occur?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Id like to reserve judgment until after this weekend's games. Firday and Sunday results will tell more. I think eventually, when things settle down, the proven teams (CD, WWT) will pull away from the emerging teams (N, G, SA). And its difficult to line up NA, PA, CD and WWT at this stage, I think they are all closer than early results indicate - injuries will play a major roll as always. Anyway in groups:

NA, PA, WWT, CD
then
GL, NWD, SA
then
WA, ST

Couldn't agree with you more Wedge man, except I would put Centrals up with Port and North. I'm obviously happy with how lmy ot are going at the minute but I remember giving the 1994 premiers the mother of all hidings in rd 1 1995 and history shows how we finished that year. Basically I want to wait until rd 14 when we play all the teams before I get confident on how we and all the teams for that matter are travelling......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

This is a worry - I agree with Tassie on this one

You norf and Pord supporters can get excited and play you May GF in a couple of weeks but I would rather wait and see how things look after the last minor round.

Things can change a lot in in 5 months. Don't be surprised if our form is a lot better in the month that it matters.

Crikey, we might get excited but theres a few others from other clubs who are sensitive.
My predictions are on current form looking at the first 5 rounds.
I haven't written Central off by any stretch of the imaginiation.
The fact is you got beaten by 95pts by Glenelg so on recent form you aren't doing that good.

BUT Form in Rd 4, 5 or 6 has nothing to do with what happens in October.

Ironically I don't think my assessment of current form will change much with a result either way on Friday night.

Can someone explain to me how North supporters can get canned for getting excited in the same forum as getting canned for keeping a lid on it????
Surely it can't be both ways?
Truth be known, its smack bang in the middle where it should be.

See my post in "all the grades scores" Wedie, face facts we have to play the man not the club at the moment, as Digger would say on the Coodabeens, "They're [North] doin allright"

I'm unbiased - I pick on anyone (even the odd doggies supporter) but Norf supporters do seem to lead with their chin :o - must be the influence of the coach.

I haven't noticed any North fans going over the top and getting Premiers T-shirts made up??? Centrals fans seem to be a bit touch at the moment, same with Sturt. You need to calm down a little boys!

My final positions at this stage...

Port
North
Centrals
Eagles
Glenelg

South
Legs
Sturt
West

After what I have seen so far - for me its lookin to finishin like this. Have seen all clubs play live this year.

North
Port
Centrals
Glenelg
South

Eagles
Norwood
Sturt
West

I picked Weatherley for the KF @ the start and I think I will stick with that even though Gill is in front of him I reckon teams might start the double play on him ( Gill ).
It is what it is !!!

Norwood
Eagles
Sturt

GF - Northv Port with North winning
