from the looks of it, it seems blacks will struggle according to the previous posts (and trial game results if you can take anything from them) but how are they favourites to win the flag on the poll. fair to say that there a fair amount of blacks ppl on this forum.
always is going to be hard to replace the players they've lost esp wen going up a div but reckon they'll stay in div 5.

Dont know if Portland are Red Hot or the Hounds are Cold, but
i think the 120 odd point loss cant be to good for the Hounds.

6 games !!! Not quite, but it was our 3rd hit-out, 2nd full trial. Blacks were competitive for large chunks of the game, especially early and the third quarter. IMO, they werent suited by our small ground either.

As Pag said though, its only a trial and means absolutely nothing in the scheme of things. If you win first round, what happened the week before in a trial means f@ck all ! Likewise if you lose !!!

What do you want to know???

Ex GG boy. Played all his juniours there. Gone through the underage system at North Adelaide and now is playing reserves and is looking to crack league this year. Not too far off apparently.

Played State U/16 and is an AIS Academy graduate. Travelled to Ireland with that side, which included players such as Marc Murphy and Pat Ryder. Had a shoulder op in his second year of u/17's and only really came back to play the second half of the season + finals. Won a premiership that year. Played in the U/18 state side but missed all australian selection. Was considered to be a safe bet for a Draft selection a few years back but potentially was overlooked due to his shoulder issue and subsequent lack of game time in that draft year.

Apparently has been approached by a few clubs at the moment to coax him away from North or too secure him if he chooses to leave at the end of the year/midyear. Us included.

Would salisbury be interested/laying the foundation to snare him Pag??? Sounds as if we may have a fight on our hands with you guys over a couple players on the upcoming birds. Obushak being the other one.

I'm sure we'd love to have him mate, he's a very good mate of mine and I think just wanted to see what was said when his name came up on here! I was actually sitting next to him this afternoon when the original post was made, so I think it might've been a little bit of self-interest...

But you do have a fight on your hands for Obushak

I've heard he's moved down that side of town so we might have a bigger fight on our hands than just between us...

Yeah. Beleive he lives with his old man down that way. I believe that his current train of thought is GG or Salisbury. Leaning salisbury due to the higher division. I dont think any other offers or interest has entered yet. His mum still lives North, as does the girlfriend i believe but this is just what a few of the lads have been saying. I wouldnt know too much ;-) In all honesty i dont think we have the budget remaining this year to snatch him. Our A-grade squad is looking settled and too inclusions may only damage the harmony amongst the borderline B's boys who are much more than capable of stepping up.

If he is not at league club next year, i could only imagine that he would be one of the marquee players that we would go hunting for. Along with one or two other that we shall keep hushed until next off season ;-)

The budget? I heard you boys may be offering some coin, a mate of mine was offered $150 a game to play at Harper's Field this year...

Mighty Hounds, I noticed that you stated that you guys have three additions to the side that played. Did you guy's have any Big lads coming in?
From what i saw the Boy's in the Middle and around the ground may have just been pushed off the ball a little to easy.
I'd say if these three were a Ruckman and two quick on Ballers, you may have had more chance of getting the Ball Forward.
Anyway's my Tips:

Elizabeth
Greenacres
Plympton
Rosewater
Golden Grove

Good Luck this weekend to all teams, this is where it all matters.
