Seem to be a good hit out all day 4 all grades - only trial games and all lookin forward to the season ahead !!!

Yeah was a great day out at Perteringa. the Great rivalry is alive and well. the mod B grade won by about 7 goals. In the A grade and understrength Modbury really matched and out played a pretty much full strength gullies. if it wasnt for Pitt TTG would have lost by 10. Modbury will bring back garfoot, vassal and the first ruckman plus richards who played B grade and dominated(due to wedding) so all good signs for modbury. TTG may struggle if thats all they have. Vandeveld also went off in the first quarter with and ankle after kciking 2 dackos goals.

Do you know much about TTG Blues?
So they were at full strength you think.
If thats the case sides have to be wary of the hawks this year.

If not full strength then very very close. Yes i do think the hawks will be a force going on last years effort with a younger, fitter and stronger squad. but wont make predictions as havent seen any div 2 clubs yet. long season ahead but i rekon the hawks have the depth this year that wasnt there last year.

yes at half time some biffo occured after a former ttg then modbury then back to ttg player decided to swing at matt jolly after the half time siren. also believe a TTG player threw a punch at the new coach of modbury or so it has been said i was on the other side of teh oval

Surely if a punch was thrown at the coach there would be some action being taken..... haven't heard anything about it.

Matt Jolly at the centre of controversy again? Funny how such an innocent bloke has so many punches thrown at him..

Still, doesn't take away from the fact that the bloke can play..

Read my post , I said Yes, Matt can play, but he's a bigger sledger than Punter. That doesn't mean he's not a nice bloke though.. If you honestly believe that Matt gets in so many punch-ups simply becuase he's so good you are delusional..

There are lots of blokes that can play and they don't constantly get in punch ups because of their abilities.

Blues08 seems to be very defensive of Matt Jolly .. why's that?

I just cant believe that you are suggesting that someone is always in punch ups because they're such a good player. That is ridiculous IMO  but if that's your opinion, that's fair enough.

Tyson Burrows - another quality player who goes about his business and has never been at the centre of, or caused unwanted attention on-field. I don't see blokes going the punch on him because he's so good? (probably just as well too, I reckon I could throw a better punch than him  Sorry Tys  )

I have no idea why you've bought up his family though.

All Im saying is that he's no angel.. anything wrong with that? I haven't (and wouldn't) attack his playing ability, I just made the comment that he always seems to be where the action is.

He can sledge or do whatever to as many people as he likes as far as I'm concerned, he just can't sook everytime someone gives him a bit of his own back.

Jolly is and has been a great leader for the Modbury football club. He asks for nothing and coaches junior sides. Someone of his ability could be at a club being paid and just chasing money.

Loves a yap but doesnt deserve punches being thrown at him just for a bit of banter. person throwing the punch was a less talented has been who has been mentioned since my first post re this issue. Lets just say this player isnt good enough to make Modbury's best 22.

Speaking as someone who tends to have a bit of a sledge on the field, you don't necessarily expect to get punched. It's probably a good thing if they're not focusing on the footy, but a lot of the best guys can give a yarn back, kick a goal from the boundary line, then let ya know about it again.
